The temple of Maa Tara Chandi is one the 52 Shaktipeethas in India. Religious text books like Shiva Puran, Chandika Puran and other books have mentioned the glory of Maa Tara Chandi. There is even a mosque inside the temple premises built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The mosque still stands there to show the unity and religious harmony culture of India. The hill where Maa Tara Chandi resides is known as Tara Chandi Hill and it is famous for lush green environment and equally alluring ambience.
