Natadreeswarar Temple is one of the devoted Hindu temples dedidated to Lord Shiva, situated on hillock island inside the River Kaveri, close to the city of Erode, on Erode-Karur Highways.

"To dispose of any sort of Dhosam', Agasthiar influenced a Lingam to out of sand, put it on the hillock amidst the stream Cauvery, garlanded the Lingam with his Rudhratcha Malai and sat in profound reflection.

On the main day of ""Chithirai"" – Tamil New year day – Agasthiar was irritated from his reflection and he attempted to expel his Rudhratcha Malai from the Lingam. Accordingly Master Shiva set up himself on the hillock arranged amidst the stream Kavery in Kangeyampalayam close Disintegrate, Tamil Nadu, India."
