About Jambukeswarar Temple

"Jambukeswarar Temple, Thiruvanaikava is an acclaimed Shiva temple in Tiruchirapalli (Trichy), in the province of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple was worked by Kocengannan (Kochenga Chola), one of the Early Cholas, around 1,800 years back. It is situated in the Srirangam island, which has the well known Ranganathaswamy temple. 

Thiruvanaikal is one of the five noteworthy Shiva temples of Tamil Nadu (Panchabhoota Sthalams) speaking to the Mahābhūta or five incredible components; this temple speaks to the component of water, or neer in Tamil.
