About Vayalur Murugan Temple
The Vayalur Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to Muruga, situated close to the city of Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, India.
The fundamental god in the temple is Muruga, it is behind the Moolavar Shiva Sannithy. Alternate Sannithys in this temple are Moolavar arulmigu Athi Nathar (Lord Shiva). Agni Theertham otherwise called Shakthi Theertham. As indicated by a legend, Lord Muruga himself made this tank with his Velayudham. Sthala Vriksham: Vanni Maram (Vanni tree) is found in the left side from the passage of rajagopuram.
By Bus
Bus transport are available from Trichy Chathiram Bus stand, Central Bus stand and Trichy Junction (Railway station). The devotees are able to come from all parts of the country to Thiruchirappalli Railway Junction. From there devotees can come to this temple by bus (city bus) or any other mode of transport. Visitors and devotees from foreign countries may arrive at Thiruchirappalli Airport and from there they can reach the temple by fetching any transport vehicle.
